Co-ordinators
When people contact Alton Community Care to book transport, the person they speak to will be the Duty Co-ordinator. This individual is the first telephone point of contact for passengers seeking to arrange a journey. The Duty Co-ordinator is part of a team of co-ordinators who take up the role of Duty Co-ordinator in rotation.
As a co-ordinator, you operate from your home on a rota for two or three weekdays a month, normally between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. Calls to the Alton Community Care telephone number are automatically transferred to your number. You take details from the caller, and later use the Good Neighbours Network computer system to allocate a driver. You give your time, but we cover all your incidental expenses.
You will need to undergo a check by the Disclosure and Barring Service before becoming a co-ordinator.
